Day *end of week 2*

Konichiwa, hej hej jambo ola, nihou

Ok bad joke, but hey!

So this week was good for me! it went by fast in my opinion. Many people in my hometeam thought it went by fast.

Comparing it to last week this week seemed pretty "short" (still long).

So many people ask me:

"Jochem, dude, where are you all day?"

I'm a mole , I hide in the basement (band). I play the keyboards and I love it. I'm so happy / lucky that I'm able to play it. If I would be dancing /singing.. I can't even imagine, it would be horrible that's for sure (not my thing)

I'm still addicted to subway... It's terrible (the addiction, not the sandwiches trust me). If I would be French I would say: "La croissant est magnifique!" or something. And if I would be Japanese I would say: "Yataaaaa".

Anyhow about the school project stuff. I'm really looking forward in doing that. Telling kids stuff about The Netherlands and doing games with them is something I really enjoy. Before I went to Up with People I spend 2x 2 weeks in Wales (Great-Britain) and I went to a school twice with 1 group from 16-18 years range and the other one 6-9 years old. But the organization which I was with wasn't as professional as Up with People. They basically told us we were going to school and told us the age they were and tell "something about your country", so many of the tips that they gave us today are reaaaally useful.

And a long weekend incoming! I needed that, and I suppose everyone else too. Poor steward came home and almost fell asleep :P

But im afraid that's all for today folks !

*Aaaaaaahhhh* (in the background)

so seeya next time

Day 10

Heya, day 10 already

So today was another interesting day (as always). Had strawberry yogurt for breakfast and orange juice, trust me they don't fit each other.

So we tried out (stewart and I) going to 18th and california by train today, and it's a little bit faster than 16th and california, so woohoo! saves us 5 minutes every morning. :D

I liked the leadership program, makes my brain think *hmm, hmm, hmm* you know.

So since I'm a mole... I mean band member we basically sit in the basement all day long (my eyes hurt after sitting downstairs the whole day in the dark :( ), although I love it a lot.

So the songs I can play (not perfect but kinda o-k) are!:

Ayiko, one 2 one, moldavian dance, oye el boom, USA, we'll be there, keep the beat, Up with People

It's so cool to realize that I'll be able to play all the songs in a week or 2.

I've loved the lunch every single day, but today's lunch... not my thing. I mean c'mon, chips, bun, cake, carrots? Yeaaah right (chips + salad sauce is yummy though!)

So at the end of the day, I couldn't really think clear. Basically the only thing that was going through my mind was:

Food...

Bread...

Sandwich...

Subway...

Subway sandwich... lettuce.. cheese... hmm...

I'm not kidding, I was only thinking about a sandwich, strange... (I'm addicted to Subway though.. it's serious, I should go into rehab)

IM STILL THINKING ABOUT IT :( (pickles too by the way)

So when I came home I tried to figure out how to play "We'll be there" on the keyboard, but darn this is hard! (well for me it is)

I'm used to playing every single note on the sheet paper, so seeing: "Ab Bbm Dbm Db Abm" all over the sheet (accords on the keyboard) ... yeah. I just gave up :(

So, yeah.. hmm subway san-.. argh I thinking about it 24/7 this is not funny ! :(

anyways, think that's enough for today,

*What will Jochem write next time, will it be about another Subway sandwich, will his fingers break so hes not able to play the piano, or will his breakfast be milk? Tune in tomorrow at... sometime! and read about the all crazy adventures of Jochem*
